I read a lot of alien romance - my primary genre - and this is my favorite series to date. The idea is compelling, there’s excellent character development, and great prose. In all, I cared what happened to the characters. Ludwig creates beautifully strong main characters and deftly lays bare their struggles and flaws to one another which ultimately serves to strengthen the other. I’ve never had this in an alien romance and I ate it up. Read it on my kindle but bought the entire series 30% of the way into book 1. It’s going to be a hard series to beat.
