almost from the beginning, I kept thinking ”this character is really stupid.” “this character is kind of an ass.” “this family is selfish.” I didn’t enjoy the whole “I shouldn’t, but I will, but I can’t, but I’m going to do it anyhow” from the mmc. I just realized that I wasn’t enjoying the book at all and the romance (which was rushed and hardly romantic at all) wasn’t worth trying to stick the book out.
