The Downside to Forever by Jillian Liota

4.0

The Downside to Forever is poignant story centered on the strength of unconditional love.

Busy and Reid's personal and intertwining journeys had my heart weeping. Both of them are going through their own individual uphill battles. Reid's battle is one he holds close to his chest, with very, very few knowing it; and Busy is a young single mother trying to forge a future for her child without the need of constant help from her loved ones.

As they both come to realize-- it's okay to need help, to receive it, to ask for it. It's okay to not stand alone in a future that filled with uncertainty and dread.

This love story is one that begins and ends with a certain future that is not guaranteed, but it is one that will be bravely faced. And there's always strength in numbers, from your partner, to your extended family and friends.

Embrace love.

My heart was at times feeling heaving reading this one, but it was a very worthwhile read that left me satisfied and ever so hopeful of the future.
