I'm sharply in the minority for not liking this book. Another review said this was introductory "manic pixie dream girl" trope for children and I have to agree. I would have liked it more if it was about Willow's growth and grief, not about how SpEcIaL she was to help everyone around her even when she was literally in mourning.
I don't know why Dell got a redemption arc. He seemed quite unpleasant - and also was he trying to use Willow for insider trading???? We never addressed that???? - and everything he did seemed unethical. And don't even get me STARTED on Pattie letting her children live in squalor, but ohhhh we get Willow and she gets to hear about the money Pattie has stashed away. So weird.
