This short story tells the story of lovesick David (or The Second Brother as he's known as in the angel world). The Second has fallen deeply in love with Alyssa and will do anything to get back to her. He even considers risking being cast out similarly to what happened with Lucifer. I accidentally read this after reading book 2 of Twisted Fate when it should have been read first. Oh well. It gave me a unique perspective on what the Brothers were up to while Alyssa was down on Earth alone. The only critisism I have is that The Second more often seems like a teenager than the second-oldest angel in existence. His speech and thought processes are often immature. But maybe that makes him the best match for a teenage human. I recommend this series for anyone who loves religious history and the supernatural.
