Another one of forbidden tropes that I soo soo love, student × teacher trope, you could not go wrong with that one if you play your cards right...

Miles Decker, the MMC, also the professor, is a broody grumpy man who had been cheated on and his wife left him with his best friend, and now he is a single father doing his best to love his son twice as much as he can possibly do so, and that is so beautiful the bond between him and his son, Joey.
Then there is Sophie, the FMC, the overachieving student who is doing her best to earn everything and doing the best of her job. That is very endearing.

The chemistry between these characters are awesome and finger lickin' good (iykyk).

All in all it was an amazing book and couldn't wait to reread it again sometime in the future
