It's the first novel I've read this year and it's only the 24th of January but I'm pretty sure it'll make it onto my favourite books of the year list, I completely loved it!
It's such an important story & is so well written, I'm still amazed at how well she managed to write from fourteen points of view and made me invested in every one, obviously certain characters stood out but every character felt real even though we only had about twenty pages to get to know them.
I don't think I've ever read such a honest & eye opening story and as I'm fascinated by history I loved seeing, through one family, how the choices of previous generations effected the generations to come. I can see myself recommending this book for the longest time because I loved it so much.
