This is a charming, action-packed, often comical high/urban fantasy story. I like to compare books I read with other books and movies to give people an idea of whether they'd enjoy them - this one has a similar flavour to Pirates of the Caribbean, Treasure Planet, and The Princess Bride. It's the perfect blend of sword-fighting, humour (that both children and adults can enjoy), and a bit of romance too - a fun clean fantasy for all ages. My favourite character is Eric the sarcastic frog. This is the second book I've read by this author (the first being Brenda Storm: Finding Amelia Earhart, which is an action/adventure set in our world). It's a breath of fresh air to read clean fiction that deals with fantasy worlds and has a high amount of excitement to keep me wanting more.
