I really liked this book, but I had a hard time reading it sometimes because of *how* it was written.

Whenever the narrator quoted people in the past, there were never any denoting quotation marks. The only quote marks were if someone were talking in the present time. It just sort of made everything a little confusing. I also had a hard time with the imagery and fitting all the pieces together to truly see what I was reading.
