Where Are Your Boys Tonight?: The Oral History of Emo's Mainstream Explosion 1999-2008 by Chris Payne

5.0

This is a fastball down the middle for me. I could read the unedited transcript of every interview Chris Payne did for this book and still want more stories of recording sessions and New Jersey basement shows and the myriad paths these bands took to get to my CD collection. I guess the book has stop somewhere, but I do wish there was a little more in the book about bands that didn't hit in the way that Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance and Paramore did, as well as the persistence of DIY punk and emo since 2008.
