My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness by Nagata Kabi

5.0

I reread this for a sort of "buddy read" and oh gosh. This really is a top-tier memoir. Kabi Nagata does not stray away from uncomfortable and taboo topics, which makes this manga even more raw and powerful. From her difficult relationship to her parents to her nonexistent relationship to herself, she steps forward and makes a brave choice few people would make: she wants to get closer to her true self and thus jumps over her shadow.

Would highly recommend, especially to those who enjoy reading shoujo ai manga and doujins. Not because this story houses the same thrills, but because it showcases the other side of the coin: reality. (Also I really really love the art and how the author plays with her self depictions)
