The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner

4.0

An easy, entertaining read about an 18th-century apothecary who dispenses poisons to women who seek to deal with men who oppress them. My biggest complaint is that I wasn't interested in Caroline's storyline at all and would've preferred to spend more time with Nella and Eliza, perhaps moving the storyline a bit more slowly and better explaining the bond between them. Still, it was suspenseful and I tore through it in just a few sittings.
