The Man in the Long Black Coat by J.L. Aarne

5.0

Such a great book. Funny, disturbing and well written. Easily in the top 5 of best books read this year, and I'm saying that in December.

The blending of mundane elements with the supernatural works really well. The love story is intense, and for once, it's an established and mature relationship. Also for once, a fifty-two year old woman is a central character, and a wonderfully snarky one at that.

I had no real use for all the friends visiting, I don't feel they were very necessary to the story, and partially just annoying.
