The Host by Stephenie Meyer
5.0
I bought this book at least 7 years ago because of the Twilight-craze. However, I ended up never reading it during that time and that left me scared to pick it up. What if I didn't like it now I don't think Twilight is the greatest thing ever anymore? I still love Twilight for the entertaining story and the nostalgic feelings I have with it, but I can see that the writing style is bad and it's quite trashy. So without the nostalgic feelings I would probably hate this book.
Luckily that wasn't true at all. The writing is so much better and the story is actually quite good. A lot of the book is set in Wanderers head and nothing much happens. I did still found it so interesting though. It quite unrealistic sometimes and certainly not perfect but I still loved it. I don't know why, but Stephenie Meyer has a way of writing that makes you never want to put the book down, even when it's a brick. It's like chocolate. You know it's not good for you, but you just can't put it down.
