I love this first volume, so much so that I reread it in anticipation of volume two coming out in Feb 2025. Mugi is my favorite archetype of a female lead -- she's a bit of a space case, gets hurt easily but can also pick herself back up, a fierce friend, and she doesn't take everything the male lead says and does at face value. While I do typically like it better if the male lead falls first, Mugi's just too adorable in how she flip-flops between the reality that Kurose does have a lot of jerk tendencies, and her yearning for a romantic relationship. It just hits all the sweet spots for me, and I can't wait to see where the story goes.
