Not My Problem by Ciara Smyth
4.0
I love the ragtag group that is Aideen, Meabh, and Kavi. Aideen as a character was so fascinating because she was a people pleaser at her core and she always was afraid of speaking up for herself. I feel like she was so burdened with her mother’s drinking problems which is a lot for a sixteen year old. I loved how much she cared about others even it wasn’t reciprocated. She was a mess to say the least but she was my mess. I feel like this whole book I waiting for Aideen to realize that the reason why she was hyper focused on fixing everyone else’s was to avoid fixing her own. And when she finally did I couldn’t be more happier. I did wish we got a little more of the romance between Aideen and Meabh. Ciara Smyth gave me only a sprinkle of them when I wanted a whole bucket.
