The Bennet Women by Eden Appiah-Kubi
Did not finish book. Stopped at 67%.
DNF @ page 246
If I were to give this book a rating I’d say a 2.5⭐️ and considering I haven’t reached for it for a few months I’m just gonna call it quits.
I didn’t realize it was a influenced by a Jane Austen book, couldn’t tell you which one. I did enjoy the short chapters and the multiple POV’s but even at 60% I felt like I didn’t really know the characters or really cared about what they were going thru. 3 college friends I guess just figuring it out. There was some trans rep but she wasn’t even really a side character…she was just there…and I felt like that relationship definitely could’ve been a lot deeper. Then there was an angry Asian friend who was strong and independent but wanted love…I guess. And then EJ was cool I actually liked her and she was the focus I suppose but just nothing super believable with her family issues and school stuff and her love interest ummmm yea just no.
