Screw an Angel, Love a Demon by Smauggy
3.75
3.75 stars
This was a fast, steamy , and entertaining read from the beginning. One Angel, one Demon, one mission to destroy humanity…until one girl comes along. It definitely got redundant in the first half but picks up momentum as the whole angels-vs-demons-vs humanity plot thickens. Gabe and Luc have an infectiously heartwarming dynamic and Luc’s daddy issues with God could’ve made for a side subplot on its own. But I respect the route that the author took. Im sure there’ll be a sequel because so many questions have been left unanswered . I need more Angel-Demon worldbuilding and more depth to the supporting characters please! Spoiler Early on, an Irish man who works a pub is introduced as someone who can “see” their kind because of his culture but he’s never mentioned again, Same thing with other characters that are mortal but “cult fans” of the Devil? An deeper dive would’ve been great!! And the ending felt so bittersweet. Hopeful for a sequel
