I reached just over the halfway mark and not a lot had happened plot wise, this was a bit info dumpy without much context in places and I personally found the MCs one dimensional (Aren) and dumb (Lara). Aren was a cardboard cutout of a character and the fact it never once occurred to Lara that her father was in fact the bad guy baffles me. Girl... the book opens with you drugging your sisters to mimic death to stop your daddy from ACTUALLY assassinating you all so I don't know... maybe rub a couple braincells together and DON'T take his word about who the bad guys are at face value. 🙄🤦‍♀️
