This book totally blew me away. Elizabeth Acevedo has such a unique way of combining beautiful storytelling with heart-stabbing poetry. I identified so much with how Xiomara feels at different times in the story, and it really felt like I, as a reader, was as close to Xiomara as I could get. This book is truly masterful, and it definitely deserves all of the awards and acclaim it has received so far. Couldn't recommend this one enough.
