Savannah "Van" is kind of a whiner. She whines about her love over Peter, yet did nothing about it and put herself in the 'friend zone' because of money and class. She whines about her best friend's mom, Diane, buying people off, yet takes money that is (what she believes) for keeping her away from Peter and Janie, who are now married. And she wines so much about her love and her best friend getting married, yet doing nothing about it ever that she gets drunk and watches Rin Tin Tin, resulting in her buying a German Shepherd from Slovakia.

So Van is kind of a whiner. And was kind of annoying. Yet I still liked her. Probably because, truthfully, I would more than likely act the same way she is relatable to most females who would have that happen to them. But what really saved the book, for me, was Joe.

Joe made van grow up. Joe made Van get a backbone and kinda stand up for herself finally. Granted, Van did fall back into Alex, but I can possibly excuse that because she actually LIKED him, and not just lusted over his physical form, like she did with Pete. Also, Alex is so freakin adoringly attractive with how he worked his way in through Joe.
I can't help it. I like a guy who loves animals.

3 stars, because until Van started getting a backbone, she was annoying as hell. 3 stars because it also is one of those quick pop reads- cute, but probably wouldn't pick up again.
