The Mouse and the Fairy: Retelling Thumbelina and The Forest Bride by H. Eleanor Long

4.0

This was a sweet romantasy retelling of thumbelina and the forest bride.
With 3 triplet princes fighting for the throne, the King makes a contest for them to find a suitable sweetheart to compete in tasks to help determine the next heir, and a fate spell to lead each prince to their maiden.
This has some fun twists and sweet moments, as all the prices realise they are pining for love, and it might come in unexpected forms.
Hailey is brave, caring and sweet, and deserves a second chance at happiness, and selflessly helps those around her.
Thumbelina is sweet and desperate to prove herself capable, even willing to aid a stranger.
I liked the themes of breaking curses, acts of kindness, and embracing love.
