Fool's Fate by Robin Hobb
5.0
I could not put this book down in the last half. I read it on a Kindle, and I didn't know where I was in the book (for some reason it stopped showing me how far I've read). So I just stayed up almost all night a couple nights in a row. I just kept thinking it was close to being over, because just thread after thread was being finished.
The writing in these books does not flag in the least. I'm one of those folks for whom a single typo or a single comment out of character or time period can ruin the whole book for me - I'm probably 90,000 pages into this author's work and I haven't found one yet (90K may be an exaggeration...).

The final part of the fool's story was SO satisfying! For some reason I had forgotten that the next trilogy is called "The Fitz and the Fool", so I really did believe he would die (and then did in fact die for good) as I was reading. I'm so happy that I'd forgotten. It was a joy to experience it along with Fitz and Fool. The writing in these books does not flag in the least.
