When given the choice of two romance novels, my online book club chose this one. This was a light, fun read. I feel it was light on the romance, even for a YA novel. So maybe not the best romance genre representative. (The organizer ruled out bodice-rippers.) This was a light read, and certainly showcased a love of New York City on the part of the author and main character, in particular for the 'hood that the main character lives in. Excellent characterization of the city as a living place.
