After taking its time to find its pace, ending with throwing you off a cliffhanger head first in the final pages of The Heir, the spin-off finds its footing and pace as the characters meet new depths, fully fleshing out what they will bring to this new world, and a forbidden love story unfolds out of friendship, coming full circle from the classic characters we grew to love to the new age of the same.
