Sadly, I had to DNF this after the first two chapters. I really loved the premise, and all of the strong females that populated the pages, but I was so lost that I couldn't really enjoy myself. It felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story, and I was scrambling to catch up. I'll be honest, I'm really picky about my Fantasy books. I need background. I need a place to live in before I can really invest myself in the characters. This book wasn't giving that to me, so I decided to set it aside.
