You can BET that I loved this book. ( had to get a pun in there somehow 😅 ) Aja meets Walker in the midst of a panic attack in the frozen food section of a grocery store. Through how this one encounter played out, I could tell I would love the representation this book had with the care taken when discussing mental illness. There were many moments I could relate to when either Aja or Walker were speaking on their struggles with their mental health and I always love seeing more of this representation in books, especially in romance. After the next few encounters, Aja and Walker's chemistry started and never stopped. Especially when they made a bingo-based sex pact that had them barely keeping their hands to themselves. Especially the way Walker dirty talked his way through a couple of those scenes. 🥵 I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would love to see what else Jodie Slaughter creates! (especially curious to go through her older books and see how those turn out 👀)
