Cammie has secretly had a crush on Chase, campus hockey favourite, since the beginning of the year. The only problem, he doesn’t even know she exists. Until a fire in the dorms sends the floor to a hotel for the nights, they become accidental roommates (an error by the RA). Chase is enamoured immediately and doesn’t know how he hasn’t seen Cammie before. When Cammie realizes that Chase is interested in her, she decides to have some fun. Chase is still interested the next morning and wants to spend time with her. The problem is their lives are completely different. She’s the shy nerdy wallflower, and he’s the outgoing jock. He wants to try out dating, but she isn’t sure how the opposites could come together.
This is a super quick, spicy read. I loved how all in Chase was with Cammie. He showed interest in not only her but what she was doing (like her LoTR fanfic). Chase was so attentive to Cammie, listening to her and trying to figure out how to get their opposite personalities together. I loved his friendship with his bestie, Brody, and how he looked to him for advice. It was so great to see two men discussing feelings and relationships in a non-toxic way. Cammie was a cool character with lots of personality and sass. I loved how, though she seemed more reserved, she was a spitfire, standing up for herself.
I loved the friends in this book, too. Some of the characters are ones we have seen in the Toronto Terror series, but you could go in without having read them. I loved Cammie’s relationship with her sister and her new friendship with Tally.
This was a fun, quick read. If you like a strong female character with a guy who falls head over heels, this is the book for you! Thank you to Helena Hunting for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.
