Plot took too long to start moving forward for my liking, and romance part of the book seems more like a middle school crush than a soulmate kind.
It was also a little difficult to follow the magic rules, nad that made the stakes not be all that clear, either.
Decent read, but I couldn't really bond with any of the characters enough.
