This was just okay for me.

The word-building was very whimsical which is not my fave - I much prefer battles, war, politics, etc.

The magic system was just whatever random thing the author fancied in that particular scene where, again, I’m more of a hard magic system girlie.

I just want to be able to read the next series because everyone says it’s so good but now I’m wondering if I’ll even like that either
