This was surprisingly accessible for someone who is neither Christian nor a 14th Century English Monk. The "God" that the author writes about is indefinite and amorphous enough that you can easily substitute "the Divine," "the Spirit of Life," etc. in its place and still find tremendous meaning and value in the work. This is a dense little book -- I'm certain that a re-read (or two, or three) will be necessary to get all I can from it.
