Bad Vibes Only: and Other Things I Bring to the Table by Nora McInerny
funny
5.0
I was provided an eARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This memoir is sharp, clever, concise, and memorable. Each essay is the right length to get the point across without belaboring it. I'll be checking this book out from the library as soon as it's out to cross check all the quotes I loved and write them down because there are some truly poignant and also deeply insightful quotes in these essays. While the author occasionally talks about kids these days or social media in a way that feels a bit alienating for me (10+ years younger, nearly a digital native), it was infrequent enough to avoid getting under my skin. I think I'll be carrying some pieces of this book with me for a while, rolling them around in my head until they're shiny and polished. As soon as I post this review I'll be opening Libby to check if my libraries have her other books.
