I enjoyed this book. A lot of the short stories are actually connected in some way which is a nice touch. A lot of the yokai are ghosts, but I didn't mind that as I think ghosts are cool. It's interesting reading about Japanese ghosts vs English ghosts bc here in the UK ghosts are seen as scary whereas in Japan they are more respected and in this book they're portrayed as pretty normal (although some do have cool powers). I liked the whole yokai-human company thing with Mr Tei, I thought that was interesting. I liked that there was a queer story in here too, this is the first Japanese book I've read with queer representation. The feminist themes are good too. Overall an enjoyable read!
