Okay, the plot was good the writing fine, but there are some BIG problems with this book! I have had this book sitting on my shelf for years! I kept hearing how funny Christopher Moore is, and I love darker, spookier themes so my expectations were high. I was so disappointed! The "comedy" in this book heavily relies on misogamy and racial stereotypes. I grew up in the 90's and this was that kind of cringy racism that was somehow so widely popular back then. The misogamy was mostly at the beginning, but the racism just continued and got worse and worse. I am not interested in reading the rest of Christopher Moore's books and was seriously let down.
