Horrid by Katrina Leno
5.0
Sooo I’m not sure how to feel about this book.
First of all this is NOT in my genre wheelhouse! Seriously I don’t do scary, creepy, etc. but I was convinced to read it and since it came in my Owlcrate box I succumbed to the peer pressure.
I’m actually glad I did because WTAF!!! It wasn’t scary per se, and I figured out part of it, but by the time I got the the final page and finished I just sat there dumbfounded! I have no words. The creepiest, scariest part of the book is the last page and I didn’t see it coming!
Horrid is a very fast read, I read it in one sitting and it took about 3.5 hours I’d say. Just reading at my normal pace, and a couple of breaks to grab food etc.
I very much highly recommend everyone read even if you don’t do scary like me! It’s worth it, and I very much question some things about this author hahahaha (I think that’s how you know it’s good!!)
I’m giving 5 stars even though I’d like to do 4.5 because of that final page...
