I’m not gonna lie, it was slow for me to really get into it but after I did I couldn’t stop reading. It was a very fun read and I can’t wait for the next one! That being said I do have a couple criticisms. 

Maybe I just read to much, but I don’t really consider myself very good at predicting possible outcomes in books so that fact that I was able to predict 2 of the 3 big reveals says something. It was fun but I found myself getting irritated at the characters for not seeing something I felt was punching them in the face

If you’re going to write a book where the main character is a lawyer I feel like you need to put a lot of effort into the court scenes. The scenes did what they needed to do and got across the information that was important but at the end of each other except for the big trial, I found myself saying “That was it?” I feel there could have been more back and forth in them. She would only ask like 3 questions that didn’t help her case and be done and it was a little dissatisfying because I want to see her being a badass lawyer the whole book, not just near the end.
