This is the second book in the Luna and Sol omegaverse, the first duet being focused in Josie and the pack that falls for her. There are numerous very dark elements to this story so please read the trigger warnings.
Tropes and themes include:
✨Why choose
✨Hurt/comfort
✨Touch her and d!e
✨Past trauma
✨Heats and knots
✨Curvy FMC
✨Cinnamon roll alphas (sometimes burnt)
✨Political intrigue/rebellion
Rating: 4.5/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
Nicknames: Precious, Angel
The Lovely: I loved how the pack as a whole continued to come together, even as forces tried to prevent that. All four of them are still struggling but their ultimate goal pushes them forward. I loved how the FMC also comforts her alphas - it’s not just them caring for her. I thought that was sweet and special.
Also Lovely: I also loved how the underlying plot wound up being resolved. There are similarities between the fictional omega landscape and the contemporary political environment (although this book was published in 2023), which was unsettling at best, but relatable.
Recommendation: I’m sad to see this duet finished but I feel like it was the right length and I liked how it ended. I plan to read the next book in the series, which follows a different omega, yet this week (I hope), chasing that same emotional feeling I got from this duet. I’ve also added the author’s book under a pen name to my TBR since I enjoy her writing so much.
