π¨ Spoiler Alert! π¨
This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster! From a gripping prologue, revealing Rhysand's past, to Feyre's struggles with her newfound role, it kept me hooked. Feyre's growth as the High Lady of the Night Court was inspiring & showed her maturity.
π« Unraveling Secrets: Maas masterfully weaved intricate plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The Bone Carver's revelation about his need to be bound to a body to be set free was unexpected & added a layer of complexity to the story. Additionally, the revelation of Lucien's true parentage as the son of the Day Court's High Lord, Helion, was mind-blowing! π
π The Power of Love: The relationship between Feyre & Rhysand is pure magic. Their reunion in Velaris after Feyre's harrowing journey in enemy territory left me at the edge of my seat.
ποΈ Epic Battles: The intense battle scenes & strategic planning made for heart-pounding action that had me cheering for the characters. I was deeply moved when Rhysand doubted their chances of winning the battle, but just as all hope seemed lost, Tamlin, Beron, and Graysen unexpectedly came to their aid, proving that redemption is possible even for those we once considered foes. π
π Emotional Moments: Nesta's scream as the Cauldron unleashed its deadly power, killing Illyrian soldiers, sent shivers down my spine. I couldn't hold back my tears when Feyre's father and Drakon brought their ships & armies to join the fight against Hybern with each ship named for his daughters. π§
π Conclusion: "A Court of Wings and Ruin" is an exhilarating and emotional continuation of the series. The way the story unfolds with heart-stopping battles, shocking revelations, & the power of sisterly bonds left me in awe. I cried, laughed, & held my breath during this journey with Feyre, Rhysand, & the rest of the beloved characters. β¨
