Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris
5.0
I am loving this series! I love the tv show, and the books do not disappoint at all. There are some differences, but that is to be expected. I am really interested in seeing where the books are going to go from here because in the first book a storyline that took a whole season to develop was wrapped up in a single novel. (the storyline of who was killing the "fangbanger" girls)
A similar thing happened in the second book in the series. The tv show centered much of the whole second season around these crazy orgy parties and this supernatural creature that was feeding off of the lust and madness that she was causing. This book introduced the creature and saw to her departure by the end. So it seems to me that the books are much faster moving than the tv counterpart.
I like this because it means I am going to be getting to new content very soon! By this I mean things that I have not yet seen on the show. The show just finished its third season and by the end of book 2 I am current with the end of the second season, if that makes sense.
I am loving Eric in the books. Much more than I did in seasons 1 and 2 of the show. Bill not so much, but he is growing on me.
I'm off to start the 3rd book right now, because I can't wait to see if it will be the whole season 3 too.
