The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis
4.0
Very good. I may come back and share more thoughts later.
Loved the sections on affection and friendship, which are already helpful as I think about my own friendship and relationships.
Not sure about the Eros section but I didn't find it bad, just not as compelling as the others. Can't wait to think about all of it in relation to Till We Have Faces! Also I highly recommend the academic article "to whom my own glad debts are incalculable" for a fascinating explanation of Lewis' misunderstanding of Augustine in this book. (Can you tell I'm writing a thesis on Augustine and Lewis?)
