This was a quick read, and pretty okay, all things considered. It's another case of whodunit with the incorporation of angels and demons all mixing up in political machinations for all their own reasons, set in a historically switched-up Chicago, where people often have latent magical powers and a secret society of lesbian women networked through the places that would see them quickly cast out.

I loved the number of ways the title-assumptions shifted as the story went on, and felt a nice ending symmetry to the line being the very last one at the end of the book.
