Fangs by Sarah Andersen
5.0
I just received this book today and as soon as I got it I just had to sit down and read it. I've read the comics online at least three times all the way through and the new comics included (while few) only make the story better.
Fangs more than lives up to my expectations and trust me when I say they were high.
This is a must read for any paranormal romance lover! The romance between Elsie and Jimmy not only hits on favorite tropes for vampire and werewolf lovers, but feels genuine and warm. While the comics show fragments of their life (afterlife) together, it feels like a very real window into a very real relationship. I know that I personally related to their more "human" moments (excessively warm boyfriend using my anemic limbs like a blanket as a way to cool off) and smiled, laughed, and got butterflies along with them.
If you're a book aesthetics snob like me you'll want to know that the binding and materials of this volume really mimic something from the 20's that's lost it's dust jacket but is in otherwise perfect condition. Picking it up just makes it feel like you're in an old library on a rainy day in Autumn no matter where you are when you open it up. (Admittedly I say this having just come from work at an old library on a rainy Autumn day).
If you need a "treat yourself" or have a vamp/ werewolf loving friend in need of a gift, I highly recommend this book.
