I feel it’s important to note that I very seriously contemplated DNFing this book at 64% for an undisclosed scene of animal (wolf) death (an MC finds an obviously killed wolf in front of his home). I understand that it isn’t a typical “pet” or “livestock” animal, but it’s a content warning that I use in order to decide if I’m mentally capable of handling any form of animal harm at that moment.
