Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix
5.0
This book was harrowing and the real horror wasn’t the witchcraft but what people did to these poor girls who know nothing of their bodies and getting punished for a natural outcome when uneducated people explore their bodies and hormones take over.
I loved the sisterhood, the backstory of Miss Wellwood was really interesting - how she went through the same thing but became a misogynistic monster who hates herself and the girls who end up in the same condition.
The true horrific scenes were the birth scenes and how the patriarchy has made all the adults feel disgusted at these girls when they’re the ones who failed them.
