Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man by Emmanuel Acho
5.0
If you’ve ever said any or all of the following: I don’t see color, why is there a black history month/not white history month?, but black people are racist against white people, all lives matter, slavery ended long ago, my ancestors didn’t own slaves, I can’t be racist; I have black friends... or anything similar, I highly encourage you to read this book. Even if you feel like you don’t “need” to read it, please seek it out. If you’re not really a reader (I get it, some people aren’t) it is also available on audiobook or you can watch videos on Emmanuel Acho’s Facebook page. It never hurts to learn another persons perspective, especially when theirs varies greatly from your own.
