I enjoyed this fast paced, twisted and harrowing police mystery. I flew through the short chapters. I thought it was intriguing, mysterious, dark, and sad but also hopeful.
I really appreciated when the author wrote at the end of the book that her personal love life helped inspire the main character’s in this book. It helped put things into perspective. She also mentioned that the infamous true crime story of Jaycee Lee Dugard and her life in captivity helped inspire the storyline, which I found very interesting.
Overall, I enjoyed my first book by this author and look forward to reading more of her work.
