The Book Tour by Andi Watson
5.0
Fretwell is a great name for the nervy protagonist, out of his depth in places he doesn’t know (inspired, I think, by Paris), where a series of deaths seem to be connected to the book tour Fretwell is doing.
Twists in the plot abound, as Fretwell’s life declines into smaller rooms, homeless hostels and prison - and the ending leaves the reader pondering what Fretwell has been mixed up in.
I devoured it in two evenings and then have looked back again at the shadowy doorways and paranoia that characterise this utterly amazing thriller.
