The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

4.5/5
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet is such a fun adventure, full of unexpected turns and interesting visions about life outside earth. The portrayals of characters and the descriptions of species were definitely my favorite parts: each of them has their own histories, manners and of course, looks. Reading this book didn´t feel like I was in the middle of an sci-fi novel, it felt like I was just learning about different cultures while being on a journey with a crew that faced some hardships on the way. Especially because science doesn´t play a huge part in the story, the focus is in the characters and the world. I got quite attached to the crew of the Wayfarer and itched to learn more about this not perfect, but extremely intriguing scenario of our future. Thankfully A Closed and Common Orbit comes out this year!
