Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
3.0
Lyla Sage brings us back to Rebel Blue and the breathtaking town of Meadowlark in the third installment of her series! As someone who lives in a small town (although mine is a lot bigger than Meadowlark) I adore the setting of this book. However….the smut scenes in these make me absolutely cringe. The language the characters use to speak to each other is so bad. Every time one of these scenes popped up, I found myself skipping through the pages until the end.
Theadora Andersen feels like her life has gone stale. Everyone else is moving on without her, including her best friend Emmy, who just got engaged. When the boutique she designs clothes at closes down, she’s got nowhere to go and no plans to speak of.
August Ryder is at a loss. Parenting his daughter alone while her mother is studying for the bar and balancing his responsibilities on the ranch, he’s struggling, but considering he’s as stubborn as an ox, he won’t ask for help.
Enter Teddy. She needs a job, he needs someone to watch Riley for the summer- and although Gus and Teddy are archenemies, there is some unresolved tension between them. Can they put their differences aside?
