Salt by L.A. Ferro

This book!! I found myself savoring every bit of this story as I did not want it to end. Forbidden relationships have been my favorite trope lately. This one is all about two people who seem to feel the pull of fate pushing them together, however, there are so many reasons they should not be together. They have been secretly pining for one another for years. The secrets, the tension, the angst it was all so perfectly written. I felt the yearning and pull of Cameron and Everett trying so hard to not give into their feelings.

Cameron lost her parents at seventeen and was taken in by her dad’s best friend and family. She did not take notice of him until a few years later. Now she is making it her mission for him to realize what he really wants is her.

I also adored the baseball aspect of this book! The team, the training and games made for a fun side plot. Salt is the third book in The Summer Nights series. However, I did not realize this until the end and I was like I want more form these side characters and researching realized that there are two previous books!! So it can be read stand alone— I truly loved it and enjoyed it and can’t wait to dive into the other books for the other characters stories.
